Class 1 Driver

Class 1 Driver
As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a key role in the company’s supply chain by ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of lubricant products to our customers. You will be responsible for transporting both bulk and packaged products while providing professional customer service and representing the company on the road.
YOUR MANDATE
Reporting to the Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring timely product deliveries, verifying order accuracy, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction while complying with safety standards, company policies, and all legal transportation requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely and efficiently deliver bulk and packaged products to customers.
Plan and complete deliveries using the most efficient routes.
Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Load and unload delivery trucks in accordance with established procedures.
Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
Ensure deliveries are completed on schedule and meet customer expectations.
Comply with company policies and all applicable regulations governing the transportation of goods.
Operate and maintain delivery vehicles safely and responsibly.
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers.
Understand and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as required to support operational needs.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Technical Skills
Experience operating heavy trucks and delivering goods.
Strong knowledge of safe transportation practices.
Ability to inspect vehicles and perform basic maintenance checks.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and road safety requirements.
Interpersonal Skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
Self-motivated, resourceful, and accountable.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience as a delivery driver.
Valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
Satisfactory driving record.
Must be legally authorized and qualified to operate both manual and automatic transmission commercial vehicles, with no licence restrictions that would limit the operation of either transmission type.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frequent travel throughout the Greater Vancouver area and surrounding regions.
Position requires extended periods of driving.
Loading and unloading of products and materials.
Strict adherence to road safety regulations and material handling procedures.
