As we continue to grow our footprint in Ontario, Catalys is looking for a Sales Representative who is results-driven, highly organized, and motivated by new business development. In this role, you will expand our customer base in the London area and support customers with tailored lubrication solutions that address their operational and technical needs.
Position Overview
The Sales Representative - Territory is responsible for developing and managing a commercial, industrial, and institutional customer portfolio within an assigned territory. The role focuses on identifying customer needs and delivering value-added solutions across Catalys Lubricants’ product and service offerings, including lubricants, greases, DEF (urea), antifreeze, windshield washer fluids, bio-lubricants, and related services.
The position plays a key role in driving territory growth through:
Ontario new business and opening new accounts
Growing existing customers and increasing share of wallet (SOW)
Building long-term partnerships through technical and commercial support
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Allocate approximately 60% of sales efforts to Chevron products and 40% to other Catalys Lubricants products and services
Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve sales and profitability targets
Prospect and secure new accounts across targeted industries
Identify and pursue major accounts in sectors such as construction, transportation, mining, forestry, marine, public sector, and other agreed-upon markets
Build a strong pipeline and consistently generate new opportunities
Account Management & Growth
Strengthen relationships with existing customers to increase share of wallet
Conduct lubrication studies and operational assessments to identify needs and recommend solutions
Provide product training and technical support to customers and distributors
Support distributors in growing their business by assisting with quarterly business planning and follow-up
Collaboration & Internal Coordination
Maintain strong working relationships with internal partners including Credit, Operations, Customer Service, Technical Services, and suppliers
Participate in commercial and technical training programs
Represent the company in relevant industry associations, conferences, and networking events to increase visibility and business opportunities
Reporting & Tools
Use CRM systems and corporate tools effectively (Salesforce preferred, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Copilot, Chevron sales tools, customer presentation tools such as RbL, etc.)
Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasting, and administrative follow-up
Use all required forms and sales tools provided by management
Required Competencies
Technical
Strong understanding of petroleum/lubrication product terminology and industrial sales cycles
Experience selling into industrial sectors such as construction, transportation, manufacturing, mining, or related industries
Experience in a B2B distribution sales environment
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook; CRM experience required)
Behavioral

Highly organized, self-driven, and able to operate independently with minimal supervision
Strong negotiation skills and business acumen
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Solution-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

Qualifications
Education: College diploma (technical or business), or equivalent experience in sales/distribution.
Experience: 6 to 9 years of relevant experience in commercial and industrial sales. Experience in lubricants is considered a strong asset.
